I wanted to share this with you guys and will probably do a review on it soon on youtube. I picked this up a few weeks ago. It's my 2nd or 3rd shoulder holster overall. I'm trying to find the right design i want before I go out and get a nice leather one and this one really fits the bill.

Pros - It's much more comfortable than the other holsters i have because of the wide shoulder pieces that dispurse weight of the weapon and ammo over a large area.
Very adjustable and modular. If you didn't like the provided holster or ammo pouches you could get basically any nylon strap holster and swap them out.
Has quick-release buckles for easy detachment of sections
The safety (thumb) strap is adjustable with velcro and has TWO buttons on it for extra safety, though you can easily just use one if you prefer.
The holster itself is universal for any large frame pistol
The belt loops that come attached to both sides are easily wrapped around the holster and mag pouch and velcro in place to get them out of the way if you're not going to use them.
can easily be swapped for left and right handed draw.
Having the weight of the mag pouches to balance out the weight of the gun really helps in the comfort level.
Because I'm a big bumpy guy I can even wear this rig under a t-shirt and still maintain reasonable concealment. I've done it about 10x in public thus far and once in front of a LEO with nary a look.


Cons - I'm not sure how long the elastic between the two wide shoulder pieces will hold out, but that's easily fixed by sewing another piece of nylon over it if it breaks
I wish there was a strap across the back to keep both sides from lurching fwd when you bent down. I've seen this in higher end holsters and I may just add it to this one. Nylon is cheap and easy to sew and I have tons of it.

Overall, for the money it's a decent holster.

I have been looking at this set up too. Just one question. Does the straps you use to adjust the fit have a way to secure them or do they just kinda flap in the wind?

I only have one of the straps that's long enough to flap. I had to let all the other adjustments almost all the way out to fit me properly (big guy). To keep that one flap in place I used a paperclip. Works well but one quick stitch would work just as well. That's what I did with my other nylon rigs.

You can find these at any gun show for $29.95. There is no need to search out any particular model as 1 size fits all guns.

I have a holster like this, the Fobus roto tactical shoulder harness with the double mag holder. It is comfortable, but as many of us now know, the roto holsters keep the gun too far away from the body for good concealment. Regarding the gun, I could never find a comfortable angle for it. The closest was actually upside down with the muzzle pointed at my armpit.
Plus, I always wondered about the outline of the harness on my shoulders. That may be a moot point since I also now know that most people won't even notice something like that, but this was in my first year carrying. I still have it and bring it out in the winter every now and then.

I keep thinking I'll try one of those Miami Classic shoulder rigs sometime.

1. I'm a big fat guy. Is that the same as "big bumpy guy?" Not makin' fun, I've just wondered if those things would fit a guy shaped like me very comfortably.

1. I think they would be comfortable on just about anyone when adjusted right. They can take some time.

2. When I first started wearing mine it was summer and Yes. I thought those larger shoulder areas heated up a bit.

From the looks of it, I have this same shoulder holster as well. I picked mine up from the Banana Bay, a military surplus store in Austin.

I got this because I needed a place to stow my carry gun ( a Hi-Power) while out duck hunting in waders, hip carry being impractical and impossible when wearing them. While the holster is obviously made for the longer and more bulky M9, a bit of stitching along the bottom of the pistol in front of the trigger guard made a snug fit. A bit of adjusting and fitting later, it was good to go. It's certainly not made for everyday concealed carry, but served beautifully for me while I was decked out in waders and several layers of hunting gear/jackets/etc. In that much clothing it was not noticeable to my fellow hunters.
