That's why you keep spares.

Readily avail at Midway.

If you have spares, you'll never lose them.

In your area, I can't think of any place that might stock them.

You might give Ed Vandenberg a call and see if he will sell you what you need.

http://www.vandenbergcustom.com/

Also ask him what he would charge to do the work on your 1911.

:iagree: Sproinggggg - - - thump - - - (censored) - - - go get the spare.

When you get your new plunger spring assembly put a bit of bend in the spring by twisting it like you are trying to unscrew it. This little offset will prevent the spring from launching itself yet allow it to function.

Lone Star armory is up the road in Pearland and he would have some spares likely. I have lost dang near every spring and part at least once. Lost a slide even, finally found it still in the ultrasonic cleaner where it was left when i got the other parts out. How many LCD monitors have you had a recoil spring plug fly into, I almost cried at that one.

You've lost the plunger tube spring?

Hehe, I've lost a few parts myself.

So with a little scrounging in your gun room we could build a complete 1911? "rlol"

get a big magnet and start crawling around with it on the floor in front of you. You'll find it. You can also look in the curtains, mini blinds, dishwasher, mop bucket, dog dish, and range hood. Yes, I've found rogue gun parts in all those places when they've tried to escape.

In that case, skip the big magnet and just have yourself a Peanut Butter and Nanner sandwich.
