Police officers rewarded for botched SWAT raid

Unbelievable.

Last year, a Minneapolis police SWAT team raided a house in the middle of the night. The homeowner opened fire on them and hit several officers, who were saved by their bulletproof vests. The officers returned fire but failed to hit the homeowner.

The homeowner was completely innocent. A bogus informant had given the address to police.

This week, the police department gave the officers medals for courage under fire. No one was disciplined for the botched raid.

I'm afraid everyone loses on this. You have primary, secondary, and tertiary victims who now all need some counseling or debriefing. Someone needs to be held accountable.

Nothing in the long run. Search for the name "Vang Khang" and you can read about it for hours.
