I have a concern, that when I fill out the application do I have to list I owe back taxes ?.. I owe 2007 Local school and county taxes ..
I have a payment plan that I sending to the city lawyers... It is only last year taxes.. Do I HAVE to list this, and send the payment plan to them ?
Will this delay my application ?
What would happen if I did NOT list it ?

Do they check the county ? and City ?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

If you're on a payment plan and sticking to it, you're good to go. The disqualification is having been "found finally delinquent."

On the eligibility affidavit, item 11 says
I have not been finally determined to be delinquent in the payment of taxes or other money collected by the comptroller, state treasurer, or tax collector of any agency or political subdivision of this state ...
Only you know whether you have been found finally delinquent. My understanding is that happens at a court hearing after the taxing body has given up trying to collect by gentler means.

If you haven't been found finally delinquent, just initial that item.

Ok, I see, NO court hearing, just a letter from the local city lawyers stated I was behind and I set up a payment plan..

I should be good to state NO.. Thanks
