Which counties?

To those of you who are still waiting on your license:
Which counties did you list on your application? My entire process was right at 60 days, and I had to list 3 counties... two where I lived, and one where I work.
I would list Harrison, Marion, and Gregg.
If the info isn't in your signature, go ahead a note how far into the wait you are.

Is there any type of law in place that puts a time limit on these counties returning the background checks. If not what is there to stop some anti-gun county clerk from trying to not send back the check to keep one more chl out of their county?

I have 6 counties in the past 5 years. Hopefully this won't make the Texas CHL take a lot longer.

It would just be nice if they asked "which counties did you live or work in over the past 5 years". For me it was only Travis but being that part of the 5 year past was when I was still in school the number of times I moved and switched jobs made that part of the application horrendous.

Born, Live, Work, Dallas Co.
Felony Arrest, Grayson Co. (Clerk and DA “No-Bill” Doc's sent with application)
E-mailed them on 8-7-2008, they replied they were waiting on the background checks...
8-23-2008 Complete waiting on the mail now..

pushing 90 days here, they claim the bg checks are still pending.

El Paso County here. Sent in application April 17-received April 21. Not entered until June 27th. Forgot to sign one fingerprint card. Received it and sent it back received by DPS on July 7th. Now am waiting, .... and waiting, ..... and waiting. Well, you get the general idea. Status: Processing Application. Heather was supposed to have some good news for me Friday but I never heard from her. She and Jan Coffey can expect to hear from me loud and clear come Monday morning. I also believe someone here locally is sitting on my application delaying it as long as possible. I think the counties have 60 days to either approve or disapprove the application but could be wrong.
