I have kids in various sports. As has been the scenario several times this season, one child's early-evening game meets in a school building. Shortly thereafter, we go eat dinner or snack someplace in between games. We then head to a public sports field for another child's late game.
Sometimes the order is reversed/altered, and sometimes you can throw in a mix of practice and team meetings both inside and outside the school premises.

I am committed to carry as often as possible wherever possible, so these multiple transitions are a bit of a pain, especially when I have little time alone in the vehicle to gear up/down.
My standard operating procedure is to keep my weapon in a lockable hard case in the vehicle when not holstered and just stall as needed to be the last person out of the vehicle...the wife and I have this down to a knowing gesture and glance, but sometimes it's still difficult if we have to park in a very public spot.

Do others on the forum deal with multiple arm/disarm situations during the course of a day or evening in the presence of family and friends? If so, what are some of your thoughts regarding different situations faced and how you handled them?

I am not faced with such multiple disarm/rearm situations in the proximity of friends/family. However,

In dealing with the very public parking spots, I would suggest a tight-fitting windshield shade and windows treated with a pseudo-reflective tint, and keep the interior light turned off, as this will significantly darken the interior of your vehicle and make it more difficult for passers-by to observe you in detail.

In addition, you might be able to dispense with the non-verbal communication, and simply have it as your SOP that you are the last to leave your vehicle (handgun or not), and you can avoid telegraphing anything (via the non-verbal communication) to passers-by.

Otherwise, I think you are making the best of the situation---at least until one of your children picks up on the non-verbal communication you use with your wife and starts asking questions. I respect your commitment to carry whenever you legally can.

For those times I would suggest either a small pocket gun,you can just slide in and out of your pocket,or I leave my 1911 in the car in the door pocket and take the mag and ammo with me when i enter a place I can't carry

I am not faced with the multiple arm/disarm situations that you are faced with and when I do they are not that many people around. What I do when I know I am going to have to disarm a few times is that I put my regular carry gun in the safe inside my pickup and carry my little LCP in my pocket. This way you could hide the little gun much easier from the many wandering eyes.

I respect your commitment to carry 24/7 and I am sure you will come up with a good solution to your problem. Hopefully some on the forum will be able to help you more and have experienced a situation such as the one you now have.

Although I am not a fan of off body carry, I keep a small day planner from in my door pocket for similar situations. Dillon Precision makes a decent one: http://www.dillonprecision.com/#/conten ... ay_Planner

If I have to arm/disarm more than once, especially for a short trip, I'll normally default to the day planner.

This is a great idea. In the promo link you sent, there is even a Glock 30 (my primary CCW) holstered in the example.
I will be purchasing one of these.
