Carry your gun!

Just another reason to keep your weapon with you! It is not the most comfortable thing to sit in a restaurant with your weapon....but after a few adjustments I am fairly comfortable....or used to it! This story is just a grim reminder of what can happen in an instant!

How in the world did a criminal get a gun in California? Don't they have laws about that sort of thing?

The really sad part is that even if it was one of US in that diner, we wouldn't have been armed since we don't have CA permits. Would have had to wing him with a tactical coffee pot or something. The state of CA is responsible for the lives lost and should be held accountable as a criminal enabler.

So what will the powers that be in CA do about this? Why they'll call for more gun control that's what.

If you are tempted to think "Oh that was in CA". The Houston news tonight had amoung other things the following:

1) Bank holdup in a grocery store middle of the day.

2) Crazy guy beating on a front door, ringing the bell and yelling. The women inside the house called 911 7, yes SEVEN times, took police 4 HOURS to respond.

3) Some kind of shooting at an Exxon station this evening.

Remember, "Only you can prevent forrest fires".

Guess what else Only You can prevent.?

Stay safe my friends, I would miss any one of you.

Regards, OE[/i]

Yup,

Just like a company that is operating inefficiently.
The "Boss" orders everyone to work harder! Soon, we have inefficiency squared!

Or... inefficiency "to the second power" for us old guys.

Sadly, in the county this incident occurred, it is difficult to obtain a LTC. When you go one county North (and all the way up to San Fransisco) it becomes nearly impossible. Look at Kali's "County Map". http://www.packing.org/state/california//

I frequent the Denny's on Bay Area. I've always been taught to sit facing the entrance / exit of an establishment and always plan your nearest exit in your head. My Mom out of all people always ask me "You're just going to dinner, do you have to lug that "thing" (my sidearm) with you?" I just gave her this look  then ask her "Do you use soap and shampoo when you shower?"

Just going to eat.!! Yes Maam, So were the folks at Lubby's. I am thankful that both my ladies (Mom & Wife) expect me to have it. One Wed. night after church we were going to do some late shopping. At church I keep Tiny Kelly in my back pocket. K-TP32. The wife is used to that being what is at church. She did not see me change out when I went to get the truck pulled around to the door to load the instruments after service. Since my extra double mag carrier & Kelly make my billfold hard to get to, I dropped Kelly in the lock box. We got home & when I took her out of the box the wife says, :ack: you were not armed in there.!! Yes I had Kim(ber). OH, OK. That was just a few days ago. Now we have hired a new gentleman to help the above mentioned 2 ladies care for & protect the family & household. His name is Springer. As in Custom A1 Loaded. He is a real straight shooter :fire & great guy to have around. ;-)

ah Hoppes. I no longer use it on a daily basis for firearm cleaning....but I do keep a bottle in the garage so I can go back to my childhood anytime I like. My Father always wished that it could be made into one of those tree air freshners or underarm deodorant!
I must admit that the odor holds nothing but fond memories of a little jbirds1210 trying to jump up and get the cleaning rod into the top of my 1100 shotgun!! the good ole days!

See if she wants to ask you that now?
