Mailed my application off on the 7th of March. Got my license back today (the 16th). Folks, thats fast!

We need to model our process after theirs.

It causes me great pain (sharper than that of a serpents tooth), to give any credit to Yankee's, but...by gosh, they know how to get a license out!

Big "thumbs up" to New Hampshire!

I think it was approx 14 days for mine from the time I dropped it in the mailbox to having the license in hand.
They really have it together over there.

The irony of the NH non-resident license is that they base it on the license you already have. Your home state license "vouches" for you.

In the end, you're paying NH $5 a to tell Alabama they can recognize your Texas CHL.

But yeah... love that NH system. Hopefully I'll be living there in a year or so.

I agree, they don't have much background work to do or anything, but show me other government agencies that work that fast. *crickets chirping*

Hats off to NH!

I got my NH permit almost 2 years ago so I could carry thru AL on the way to FL. It was fast, about 2 weeks as I remember.

I still can't figure out what that "logo" is in the lower right corner??
Anybody know what it is? Is it some kind of inkblot thing or a Where is Waldo puzzle?

Yah, I have way too much time on my hands!

I bet Stevie d knows what it is, wanna bet?

It's the Old Man of the Mountain, may he rest in pieces.

Dog gone, Stevie d must have been in a meeting or something.

But we have a bunch of the smartest people on the planet here at TX CHL Forum.

I feel better, now that I know what that blot is in the lower right corner.

On the other hand I feel bad now too. I never got to see the Old Man of the Mt. in person and now he's gone, fallen off the Mt. Dang!

My wife always wanted to go see the Balanced Rock out in the Hill Country, but we put it off too long. Somebody blew it up! We missed that one too!

I guess we need to get out and travel more.
