Kahr CW9

I picked up a new Kahr CW9 at the gun show Saturday.

1. This pistol shoots great. My second shot was on the bullseye. I really dig it. I shot 100 rounds through it Saturday night and it's a real winner. Kahr says 200 rounds is break-in, and 100 rounds had no failures except once or twice I inadvertently must have pressed the mag release because at the end of the mag the mag was dropping a little and the slide didn't lock back.

2. This thing is way easier to conceal than my SW9VE. It's night and day.

Yesterday, I was loaned a Kahl CW4543(45 ACP). I wore the weapon all day. It was great. At the range, there was no failures. The grouping were tight at about about 7 yards. The recoil was a little heavy but it is trade off for light wieght. Now, I want one...

My mind was made up after the first mag I shot from a borrowed CW9. Fits my hand great, I can shoot 4" groups one handed with either hand at 7 yards with zero practice, and it conceals like a dream.

I'm still not letting go of my high-cap 9mm but this will become my normal carry.

I have the CW40 and I really love it. Which puts me in an ethical dilemma, since I'm in opposition the the ultimate owners of Kahr.

:iagree:

I've had one for a few months now. I put lots of rounds through it (about 750 so far). The action keeps getting smoother and smoother, it digests anything I put through it,it's light as a feather, it disappears when worn, and it's a .45. Now that's my idea of a mousegun.........:

I had a CW9 for about a year. I loved that little gun but I carried my Kimber Compact much more than the CW. I posted it for sale. After a few days I changed my mind and started to remove the posts. Thats when I was made an offer I just couldnt refuse so I parted with my CW9. I was without it for about 3 months and had been kicking myself for selling it the entire time. So what did I do? I couple of weeks ago I went and bought me a P9. It is the same as the CW but with a few minor differences.
Both the CW and P models are GREAT little pistols. I will not sell this one.

Just got a FIST K3 holster for it today. I dig it! compact, lightweight, just like the gun.

You can trace most companies back to either distasteful owners or distasteful pasts. Life being as short as it is, I've decided it's just not worth my time to sweat the small stuff.

That said, the CW9 is one fine handgun for concealed carry. It certainly won't ever hold a candle to my Sig 229 from the standpoint of accuracy, but then again, I can't carry the Sig around like I can the Kahr. It has a very slim profile, didn't even have to alter my wardrobe.

15 degrees aka "slight forward".

This one has the "body guard" extra kydex that goes between you and the slide.

I like it a lot. This is going to work out perfectly.
