Glock cleaning

I just got an email from GT Distributors about their sale this Friday. They are having a Glock day, which they do about once every six months. Glock comes down and they have some good deals on pistols for officers (sorry, but the sale of the fireamr will only be to a police officer).

But this time, they are doing something new. If any of you are in the Austin area on Friday from about 9 through 5, GT's will clean your Glock for free. They advertised an ultrasonic cleaning of any Glock for free. Being lazy, my back up toy is going to come of the shelf on Friday for a cleaning by someone else. I have always wanted to try ultrasonic cleaning anyway, so this looks like a double benefit to me.

I just thought I would let everyone else know about this offer, if you are in the area.

SRVA just got a bigger U-cleaner for us. We have a small one which was great but the bigger one let's us get the frame in the bath.

I think it is the way to clean guns! It is thorough and fast.

Heck, I thought you just tossed 'em on the top rack of the dishwasher with the rest of the Tupperware.

:biggrinjester:

(As a cruffler, I have been known to use the dishwasher and oven to remove Cosmolene. From personal experience, I suggest you don't use citrus stripper to remove the orange shellac from a Mosin-Nagant. At least not in the bathroom sink.)

Clean a Glock?

I.... don't know..... *confused* :headscratch

I din't think you were spoda clean a Glock. I thought the dirt buildup, like, made it run better and stuff!

I wonder if I brought my S&W Sigma down there if they'd just shoot me on sight.... :leaving
