Before you post another comment, please contact your representatives and senators!!!

No matter what Bush, Bernake and Paulson want to call this bill, investment, buy-in, or rescue, IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF USING TAXPAYERS MONEY TO COVER BANKERS' LOSSES. Yes, the economy needs to be "fixed." If so, those bankers and wall street geniuses need to put up THEIR OWN personal money BEFORE touching mine and yours!!!

We have NO responsibility for their mistakes/frauds.

If you listen to media saying that we, the taxpayers, may actually make money out of this bail-out. If it were such a great investment, why the geniuses on the financial capital of the world do not want to touch those radio-active toxic assets (sorry, "investment")???

(oh, it's nice that they shut down the House's email form due to "an extraordinarily high amount of email traffic.")

Watch this video if you don't understand.

Just for technical accuracy, this is not the exact same bill. It started that way but was modified since the vote down. It is still basically the same but has a few more provisions, such as increasing FDIC insurance to $250,000.

Honestly, from what I have read, it's congress' fault to begin with. We cannot let the banks just fail due to a horrible law that required them to provide bad loans to begin with.

The mainstream media seems to have conveniently forgotten this and is placing the blame completely on the banks.
Exactly....they twist the facts and try to lay the blame for this at the Presidents feet!

Congress and our law makers opened up this can of worms and using their biased mouthpieces conveniently forget and skew the facts...

Our country is teetering on the edge of financial ruin because our elected officials have driven this Titanic into the iceberg!

Congress has been responsible for this from day one. They put all of the pressure on the mortgage comapanies to make bad loans to underqualified people and now that those people are unable to keep up, congress doesn't want to take responsibility. It is all the president's fault. Perhaps one of these days politicians will realize that is was the free market that built this great country's economic strength, not the government's interference.
