Question regarding gun safety and design.

Well, I've been shooting mainly semiautomatics like my glock and my 1911.
They seem DESIGNED for an easy transition from finger off the trigger to on the trigger when ready to shoot.

I have just recently shot my dads old Ruger Blackhawk 12"? .45lc single action revolver. It seems like its made for keeping a permanent
finger on the trigger. I am 100% confident that it will fire only when I want it to fire even with my finger on the trigger but
it just seems like bad practice.

What do yall do with single action revolvers. It my trigger fingers ALWAYS hangs up when using proper safe form. any thoughts?

Don't cock until I want to shoot, that's what I do with mine, though I think mine has a .5 lb pull or something stupidly light (maybe not that light) so I never trust it like my Glock

well that how I've always done too, and I've always kept my thumb on the hammer until ready to shoot too.

I've just gotten into a obsessive compulsive habit of keeping my finger off the trigger lol, it just feels wrong leaving it there but on the revolver, it feels wrong not putting it on the trigger lol.
