Or maybe (sub)consciously preventing something else .... Sounds like that drunk won't be climbing stairs for a while.

Why do you think women shoot low? It has nothing to do with recoil. It is all being taught all of our lives to aim low.

I'm just glad to see some folks in the northeast do believe in the right to defense of life and home. A great many people in that part of the world think a dead old lady is morally superior to one standing over the deceased and leaking body of her attacker.
