Thanks for the heads up.
I received an order from them earlier this month. It was delivered promptly and with no issues, but I'll do a little more checking before placing an order again.

"We are running 5 days behind on packing your orders and also running up to 5 days behind responding to your e-mails. We are working 7 days a week and up to 14 hours a day. The volume of orders and e-mails has been overwhelming. Our website will confirm your order and send you a tracking number unless you have a spam blocker that blocks us or the UPS e-mail with tracking information. Those e-mails come from two different e-mail servers. Also we have a few that don't enter the correct e-mail address. otherwise you will get two e-mails from us. one after you place the order and one when it ships from UPS.
We cannot answer the phones at this time either. Just way too many calls."
That is posted on the website. I placed a recent order myself and it took about two weeks or so, but it got here and I did get an e-mail when it shipped. It's still better than some other sites. I had an order process for 3 weeks with someone else. I guess it's just due to the feeding frenzy right now..

This is almost getting to the point where I'm going to have to camp out in line at the next gunshow, just to make sure I can score a case or two...
Last time I did that was at Hoffeinze Pavillion for a Led Zeppelin concert...Cost me $14.75 x2!!!
I have mixed feelings about this...As you can tell...
Patience fellow grasshoppers...The panic will subside, and things will either return to normal, or we will be reloading...

Hey guess what? I just got the email from them saying the order was recieved and shipping info was sent to UPS. Like I said, I have always had great service from them, and apparently with the recent spike in guns and ammo sales, they are a little behind. Understandable in todays political climate. This is exactly what I thought the problem was. No fault towards Ammoman, and they are still on my shopping list. Now if I could just get someone to get me a case for Christmas! Either 5.56 or 7.62x39 would be appreciated, in addition to a little bit of .45acp lovin!
I wonder if they read this forum?

I"ve used ammoman in the past with good results, but wanted to get some more 223 and ammunitiontogo.com had the best price (and they're close, in Brenham). When I ordered on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, I asked if I could do a in-person pickup to save on shipping and they said no problem. By the time I actually went to do the pickup (the following Friday), they had closed to all walk-in orders (still let me come since we'd agreed on in-person pickup previously).
At that time (last weekend) were working on
3500 orders in their system. I'm sure ammoman is in a similar condition. Also - aimsurplus.com is stating on their main page that they are 16-17 business days behind in fulfilling orders due to demand. Most online retailers are experiencing similar high demand.
Hopefully it'll settle down soon!

I ordered from ammoman on Nov 6. Finally read their web page statement that they were backed up 5 days on Tuesday this week. The order arrived the next day, the 19th...just one day short of two weeks. Previously I received my order within a week. My ammo to go order was placed last Saturday, the 15th. The email confirming the order said they are also way behind, so maybe I'll get it after Thanksgiving.

As others have said, I've used Ammoman in the past with good results. Kudos to Ammoman for doing their best to stay on top of the feeding frenzy.
And like Stevie said, I have mixed feelings about it all. I haven't been shopping for too much lately, but it's running deeper than I thought. I got the recent AIM Surplus flyer and thought about buying some of the South African surplus .308 (I'd already bought a case earlier in the year). Popped online the same evening I received the flyer...nada. Sold out.
On 11/21 I got an email newsletter from tgscom.net advertising DPMS AR-15 mags. I logged on within two hours of the email "sent" time (5:15 a.m.)...nada. Sold out.
Yesterday I thought about looking around for some MagPul AR-15 P-mags. Thought I might as well buy a handful, considering. Check about a dozen major sources--including Brownell's, Midway, and MagPul themselves--nada. Sold out everywhere. Brownell's and Midway aren't even accepting backorders.
On the plus side, with the general economy in such turmoil, having pockets of performance like guns and ammo (that must be) going through the roof, might cause the new Administration to blink once or twice. There really are a lot of gun owners out there; we really do have money to spend; and we really don't trust Obama and Biden on the subject of the Second Amendment. Maybe we didn't mobilize enough for the November 4 vote, but that can change.
On the minus side, we're gonna be paying through the nose for what bits and pieces we are able to find. Supply is drying up, and the demand sure doesn't seem to be only a November 5 knee-jerk reaction. Demand may actually be increasing.
It would be very interesting to look back in January and compare holiday season general retail sales figures to those from the guns & ammo sector. I don't know if anyone does or can accurately track that, but I have a feeling it would make an interesting inauguration day memo to President Obama.
Any bets that we outpace any other retail sector--and toss in cars and homes for good measure--by a factor of 10-to-1, or better over the same period last year?

Some time back, a fellow shooter and I were in Brenham and wanted to locate Big Dog's place. Unfortunately, it happened to be on a Friday. I drove over to the nursery side and spoke with his mother. Her information was that he was open Mon-Thu and ALWAYS closed on Friday. Since he usually needed Fridays to prepare for gun shows, he just never opened on Friday.
I suppose with the increase in volume recently, that may have changed.

I placed an order with ammotogo online on a Sunday, and the Ammo was sitting at my gate when I got home on the following Tuesday. The price was good and the ammo was as advertised. I like them.

I'm assuming "Big Dog" is a owner if ammotogo? Yeah, I saw on their webpage that they weren't opened Friday, and had specifically asked about that when I called - they said they were, and they definitely were running full tilt when I got there. Suspect it was due to the amount of orders they had in place.
