Today at 3:28 PM the newest member of my family, Mosquito, came into my life. She weighs in at 22.9 oz and is 7.2" long. You may have had an affair with her mother once or twice yourself: Sig Sauer.
Still haven't figured out what I want to get for the next carry weapon I was talking about in a previous thread but had been wanting to get a .22 so I could shoot cheaply. It's a nice feeling to get a 1000 rounds for $30

Congrats! Those Mosquitos are super fun little guns that are so wonderfully ergonomic in the hand. I think the Mosquito is probably the most comfortable gun I've ever held.
My Mosquito was very finicky, though. I had constant stovepipes unless I was using high velocity rounds. I ended up trading it off and later got a Walter P22, which isn't as nice but at least it's reliable. Perhaps my mosquito was just a dud.

I just got one of those earlier this week. My only advice is do not throw it down range when it won't feed ammo.

It is kind of finicky. It does not like Remington Thunder

, but it does like CCI Stinger ($5.60 / 50 Rnd) and Federal blue box ($1.47 / 50 Rnd)

.

Hahah I just came here to post my frustrations at having more failures in one evening with that gun than I have ever had with any other firearm combined.
I had bought 1000 rounds of Remington thunder along with the gun. What's even more disturbing is I had 3 of 300 rounds I shot that just didn't go off, there was a clear marking on the rim it had been struck but bullet remained in the brass.

To hear about all of these problems is so weird to me because i put 500 rounds through my wife's mosquito and only had 1-2 jams. One was a ftf and the other a stovepipe.
100 of the rounds were CCI mini mag and the other was a value pack of Federal.

I was talking to one of the employees about it. He saw what I had, shook his head and replied "Yeah man, you've just got to use mini mags with that guy"

I've got a new addition myself. I recently bought a secondhand 5" Walther P22. I'm told it eats the cheap stuff just fine. Now if only I could find some spare mags for it! I got it so I had a handgun to start new shooters out on. That, and I'm sure I'll do my share of cheap plinking with it.
I've got a family range day tomorrow to test it out, along with my Marlin Model 60 which got a new feed throat and recoil spring today.
So when do we get to see some pictures?

Pics as soon as I get this virus off my computer which is forcing me to run in safe mode for the time being. Looking like it's probably just going to have to be a complete reinstall. Ugh... FYI, be just as observant when someone else uses your computer as you would be if they were using your firearm.

Yeah, good advice.
One of the advantages of running Linux is the notable absence of viruses to threaten the OS. From what I can tell, there have been 863 viruses written for Linux in the history of the operating system, none of which were able to become widespread. Compare that to the around 100,000 viruses that have been written for Windows, with a constant plague of viruses-of-the-week becoming widespread throughout the world. Nonetheless, I do not allow folks to use my computer unsupervised.
Back on topic, here's a pic of my new baby:

I love my Walther P22 and it eats everything I give it, even having no trouble with sub-sonic ammo. I have never had a feeding or ejection issue at all after perhaps 200 rounds fired. My only complaint with it is that the rear sight is loose and my research found that this is a "feature" for some reason. Anyone else ever seen that, and found a solution?
