I turned in my paperwork with a copy of my miliatry ID and PCS orders than assign me to Sheppard AFB (Wichita Falls). My only concern is that all of the paperwork asked for a TX DL or ID Number. I still have a Florida DL, but my PCS orders make me a TX Resident. Is this going to cause a delay? Any other military folks have issues.
You should try to get a FFL Transfer w/ an out of state ID. I don't know if the guys were jerks or what, I had to try 4 places before anyone would do it for me.

You can apply for a non-resident CHL if you want to remain a permanent resident of Florida.
