Anyone Here Own A Ruger - SR9 Pistol?

I'm very impressed them. Good price too. Plus, if you have small hands you probably won't have to have a grip reduction. They have an enormous cartridge capacity (17 +1 in 9mm) and other really terrific features.
I've read some of the various analyzes of this pistol and while primarily positive, the negatives concern me i.e., difficult safety, poorly located, etc.
So, do any of you own one and what feed back do you have?
I'd be very appreciative to know.

Answer to your question...NO. I do not own one.
I have shot one for a few rounds after an IDPA match. IT felt very comfortable and well balanced. The grip was nice. The trigger pull seemed like it needed mor shooting or perhaps some polishing, but not bad.
I liked it and am considering getting one for my daughter who currently shoots IDPA with a Ruger KP95 with decocker. The KP95 is a very good weapon but the thickness it just a tiny bit much for her hand and the double action trigger pull on first round is stiff enough for her to frequently pull shots. I think the fairly light and consistant trigger pull of the striker mechanism will be a benefit to her in IDPA.
I have owned several Rugers over the years, currently four, and have always been very pleased with quality and reliability.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to you both - very helpful.
I had no idea this model's been recalled and how to recognize the updated version.
I'll be talking to my friend about his, as I think he's no idea about the recall or if his is affected.
If it is, he'll want to know about what to do to get it fixed and with the information supplied here I can help him.

Check Ruger’s website regarding the SR9 Recall. If I remember correctly, the issue for the recall was resolved after a certain serial number and Ruger will repair all previous serial numbers at no charge to the owner (not sure about shipping). Appears to be receiving good reviews. I’m planning on getting one before the anti’s decide to pass any hi-cap bans.

I took my CHL with a SR-9. After the recall I traded it in on a P89 and shot a lot better. Guess I like the decocker and hammer feature.
