We're doing a little better than even.
Which of the following conditions do you think is the most important cause of gun violence in the US?
The availability of guns
The way children are raised
The influence of TV, movies, video games, or the Internet
Anger
The correct answer is highlighted.

No thanks.
Way too much information requested.
Just none of their business.

I just wish it had fill-in-the-blank instead of multiple choice. I wanted to give answers like, "I have two guns per kid so that they have back-up."
What's the mayor of St. Louis going to do with this information? You know if the result is overwhelmingly pro-RKBA, he's going to blame it on out-of-state agitators. He isn't going to change his mind.

I actually thought it was funny. Will it change minds? I doubt it.
By the way I did take the poll, and viewed the results. As usual, most people polled believe the 2nd A is not an individual right. Go figure.
Perhaps someone can explain these gun buyback programs that keep popping up. I don't understand it. If I had a weapon I wished to sale (or get rid of) I don't think I would take it to a buyback program, unless of course they were offering considerably more than market value.

I took the poll. It was odd, to say the least. It would have been better if you could have chosen more than one option.

I took the poll and didn't find it invasive. In fact, most of the other pollees agreed with me.
Most notable exceptions were the PC's position on an armed citizenry, the pistol on the guy next to me in the office and 2A interpretation. We overwhelmingly agreed on the way kids are raised and squawking kids in the restaurant being the bane of polite society.

I took the poll, also, however I agree that it will not change any one's mind.

It's a "feel good" program for the anti's that allows them to believe they have actually done something. Unfortunately, the weapons are destroyed. This has been the end of many fine firearms.
No avid gun owners take part. It is angry wives or mothers who don't want them in the house, etc.
Still, you can always keep any clunkers you come across, sell them in the buyback program, and buy a better firearm.
The icing on the cake would be the letter you write afterward telling them how they provided you with the means to buy a new gun!

I saw a thing on a gun buyback program where they were giving a $100 gift card to a grocery store for every handgun and $200 for an "assault rifle". I figure you could buy up a bunch of those HORRIBLE CHEAP 25 autos for 40-50 each and get yourself a nice discount on groceries.
