Okay, I did not see a listing at
http://www.texas3006.com, and the forum search has no matches for Fogo de Chao.
Does anyone know if Fogo de Chao in Houston is posted 30.06?
Has anyone here been there, and how did you like it? My stepson is taking the Mrs. and myself there this week.

I've been there a couple of times, most recently probably three years ago. I didn't see any signage. The decor is such that they probably wouldn't put up a 30.06 sign if they knew what it was.
The food is good if you like well-done beef. Be careful not to pig out on the salad buffet. The restaurant is very expensive. I don't think you can get out of there for less than $50 a person.

I went to Estancia Churrascaria (Brazilian place like Fogos and the others) here in Austin the other night (and carried) and while they have no problems with folks carrying (apparently), they do with money - they are quite greedy - they charged us $8.25 for a mixed drink (and of course you don't know this until after you order a few and then get the bill)... I'm never going back there again.
So if you plan to drink, ask how much it is up front..

I gave up drinking at restaurants and bars years ago, when drinks started to cost $2. Now they charge more for one beer than an entire 6-pack in the grocery store.

Yeah, I only did it there because it was my wife's b-day and we were trying to celebrate and "go all out". We got home after the 2 of us spent $100+ for a few pounds of fatty meat and were like "we won't do that again".

I was at Fogo de Chao Monday night. No 30.06 at all.... had my 'little friend' on my hip and we had a wonderful time.
Enjoy the trip.... the food and service is great!

having a brazilian girlfriend, I go to the one in houston some. why do you need a pistol in fogo ?
(the fogo in sao paulo is the best one )
anyway, brazilians eat their meat well done, if you like it rarer, ask a server, he'll bring you some.

Make sure your belt has an extra notch available, and make sure that when you adjust it, you stay concealed.

Why would you NOT want a pistol in fogo? You have to get there and maybe you have to stop and get gas on the way. Maybe you have car trouble on the way. What about the parking lot, going and coming. Maybe some psycho will drive his pickup through the window, or door, and he is not there to eat? There are many reasons to be carrying every where you may go. I carry every where I go, except where it is posted, and then I don't go there.
"edit" sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread.

The Fogo de ChaƵ in Houston is on Westheimer near Gessner. That is a wealthy area with quick-in-quick-out access to some very dodgy neighborhoods down around Bellaire (maybe two miles away). If robbers are halfway smart, they know that customers going to that restaurant are not poor, and probably have a bankroll and expensive watches, purses, and jewelry.
'Nuff said, I hope.
If something went down inside the restaurant, those waiters with swords would probably take some action that would ruin your appetite.

We also drink water with our meals for the same reason/s. $2.00 for a glass of tea is a little too much gild on the lily.

My wife and i went to Estancias in September and we went to Fogo a few months before that and I did not see any 30.06 signs.
