It's right around the corner.
For you newbees here, In the years past We have had a table rented for a meet and greet at the gun show. Due to our growing family here, we rented a booth last year and will do so again this year.
We will have members fro all over the state come in and is a great way to put faces with names.
We will list a schedule to sign up to work the booth.
Also, members of our forum are welcome to leave pamplets, cards, or literature for gun related classes, ranges, etc.
I look forward to seeing my old friends again and meeting new friends.

If we have enough people to fill up a table or tables at the Friday evening Friends dinner or the Saturday evening banquet, I'll ask them to reserve a table for the TexasCHLforum. All this will mean is that they will assign people to that table when they purchase tickets. At least I think they can do it that way. We may have to just buy the table ourselves, but I'm not sure.
If there is any interest, I'll contact TSRA HQ and see what options they may have for us. It would be nice to see a lot of TexasCHLforum folks at the TSRA Annual Meeting every year.

Since I am fairly new to the TSRA, I assume this covers it:

PB - browsing the TSRA website is challenging, to say the least, and does not offer much info even if you find what you are looking for.
Speaking from past experience - there will be a Friends of the NRA dinner on Friday night, with a speaker who may or may not be announced beforehand, subject to change. Also, generally, an auction and raffle, all to raise funds for the NRA. It is a worthwhile cause and a good time to get together for dinner with fellow CHL Forum members, as we will try to get a table or two together.
Saturday and Sunday there will be a gun show, and the forum will have a booth there for members to gather for meeting and greeting. There may also be seminars and such throughout the weekend.
Sometime during all this, there will also be the annual TSRA meeting. Saturday morning, maybe?
Anybody who actually knows should feel free to chime in here anytime.

I'll be there, if the cows come home and the creek don't rise...
Daddie-D will be there to photo-document the event(s)...
"Death by Chocolate" needs to be confirmed...
Also..."Ms. Crossfired"

will you be buying (bidding for) another ceremonial shotgun this year???
I shouldn't talk...I bid and won that beltbuckle on the last one...
This should be an interesting event this year...And I have a very good feeling I know what the big topic of discussion will be...
I know...I'm already in bigtime trouble...

Ohh, suggestion...I move that we should elevate this to a folder in the forum by itself...
Do I have a second???
(that way it doesn't get lost in the shuffle over the next few weeks...)

During the TSRA weekend, there will be a few NRA classes offered - Pistol Coach, Rifle Coach, and Range Safety Officer. I would like to encourage anyone who is interested in these classes to sign up ASAP. The pistol class needs one more person to make. This is a really good opportunity guys and gals!

Any chance I could lobby Mr. Cotton to use this opportunity to put on a DFW area session of his Self Defense and Deadly Force Law Seminar? I've been dying to make it to one of those sessions, but just can get down south to Houston way due to work.

I can't imagine that the jbirds family will not be there.......I think last year made three in a row, which of course equals tradition.

That's a good idea. I'll see if I can get it on the schedule at the TSRA hotel conference room. It's pretty late, but I'll try.

Works for me if Charles and the Mods are okay with it and can move it.
