TSRA Annual Meeting and Banquet

I plan on attending the TSRA annual meeting 2/27 - 3-1.
In years past I have always attended the FONRA Banquet on Friday night.
I just received my TSRA Sportsman magazine and there is no mention of a FONRA (Friends of the NRA) banquet.
Instead they're advertising a TSRA Foundation Fundraising Banquet.
This is particularly confusing because the previous issue of TSRA Sportsman was offering tickets to the FONRA dinner on Friday night.

Anybody know what's going on?

I was a little confused myself. I am sure it will still be a worthwhile event. Maybe Charles has some info on this.

They always seem to wait just until we can't stand it before they announce any itinerary or schedule of events for this convention/banquets...

So, uh, what's the deal with the table? Are how do we all get to sit at the same table. I'd like to be able to throw food at Steve this year! :biggrinjester:

There didn't seem to be any interest in a table, so I didn't follow up on it.

Well, let's see, so far we have Stevie_D and dad and maybe spouse, DoubleJ and significant other, the Crossfires, and Mr. Cotton. That sounds like 7 or 8 right there. How many do we need for a table? And how do we reserve one?

I'm not sure, but I think it's 10. I'd bet it's too late to reserve a table, but I may be wrong.

I was looking for the other post to sign up, but it seemed to drop out of sight. I'm in for the Friday 'whatever' dinner so maybe we can still get a table.

I'm planning on going to the annual meet-up. I'd like to do any of the dinners as well. (Me +1)

I'm not buying my tickets until I know for certain whether we're gettin' a table.
I *may* get a hotel room, but I dunno yet.

OK Gang! I stopped by the TSRA office and confirmed that we can get a table for the Friday night dinner meeting. Please PM me if you already have sent in your registration and I will add you to the list. If you have not registered yet, please mark your registration sheet next to the Friday dinner check box with "TexasCHLforum Table" and PM me as well so I can double check. (I hang out after work about 300 yards from the TSRA offices so its easy for me to check.)

All,
Mrs. Chemist called TSRA and asked about the banquet.
It is a fundraiser, but no longer related to the FONRA.
The proceeds go to support the same types of activities that FONRA supports but this way they can keep the money local, and do what THEY thought appropriate rather than what national thought was relevant.
We can support this and will be at the dinner.
(Besides, this gives me an excuse to go to another FONRA dinner elsewhere.)
