Nothing illegal about them. Winchester's lawyers just got a hold of the package proof. OR is it a marketing ploy...hmmm.

I have them in my carry gun right now. I am not a LEO.

It is the manufactures desire that we mere common folks don't have the same means of defense as LEO.
Fortunately their desires are not legally enforceable.

And if you don't get gouged by the place selling them, you can get a 50 round box for almost as little as most 20rd premium ammo you can get at retail places. If it's good enough for LEO then why should it not be good enough for civilians. We all want the same thing. Least number of rounds to effectively and quickly stop an aggressor without over penetration and risk to bystanders.

At the federal level, there is nothing illegal about that ammunition. In Texas, there are no issues at the state level. What I will tell you next is laws vary from state to state. For example, New Jersey is well known for banning the civilian use of hollowpoint ammunition regardless of brand or product line for anything other than "sporting purposes."
