.22 conversions

I'm interesting in .22 conversions. (I've have a WTB post in the firearms forum), but conversions for glocks are almost impossible to find right now. The other option I'm considering is a .22 conversion for the 1911 as they seem to be available. I've heard awful things about Ciener customer support, so I'm looking for opinions on the various 1911 conversions available. The ones I'm aware of for 1911's are:
# ciener
# advantage arms
# wilson combat
# kimber
# marvel
any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I won't own another Ciener kit. Poor customer service doesn't even begin to describe.
I've been very happy with my Kimber kit. I have friends with Marvel and AA kits and their happy with them.

If you have a CZ-75 or any variant the Kadet Kit has been great for me. I had read that I would need to get another slidelock for my PCR to get it to lock open on the last round but that did not prove to be the case. The instructions with the kit talk about using a file to fit the kit to the gun but that was not necessary either. The kit goes in easily, always feeds, fires, and ejects and approaches my 5.5 inch barrel Browning Buckmark for accuracy. I found it at Gander Mountain for $150 with only one mag instead of the normal two but what a bargain. I still have an eye out for another mag though.

I went with the Kimber. I'm pretty happy with it after the first 'range test'. Now what do ya'll recommend for magazines (it only comes with one). Should I stick with the plastic Kimber mags or try to get metal ones (Ciener??).

If your going to buy extra mags, DON"T buy anymore Kimbers, or Cieners. Get your extras from Advantage Arms. Their mag springs are far superior to the Kimbers and the cieners.

My experience with Ciener products has been good.
I built a 1911 frame up to dedicate my Ciener Platinum kit, so now I have a nice 1911 in .22LR
But I never had to deal with Jonathan Ciener.
Best advice I've seen is if you want a Ciener kit, buy it from Midway or brownells and let them deal with Ciener if there's an issue.
Barring that, buy the Kimber.

Ceiner is JUNK!!!!! and their customer service CRAP!!!!!
Advantage Arms is the way to go fro both Glock and 1911s - Goodproducts and good custom service
I have a Marvel unit for my 1911 that works pretty good, but I still have some feeding problems. Still, the customer service has been good.
