I love it too. The old folks can still take better care of themselves that many of the young whinners.

I am young but I still agree with you. Its unfortunate but the generation below mine is full of the whiners you mention.

OK. The facts of this story are that a pair of thugs distracted a woman by telling her she had a flat tire. This is a common criminal tactic.
When they tried to snatch her purse, she fought them off with bare hands and the assistance of a neighbor.
This woman was courageous and lucky.
Her courage needs no further comment.
She was extremely lucky to be the target of two thugs with rubber backbones. If they had been armed in any way, this episode could have gone very differently.
I hope that she will now consider taking the next step in self defense.

I agree that she was very lucky that they were not armed, however, I commend her courage to fight back and not just give in. I, too, hope they will take a real self-defense course in fire arm training, and then get their CHL.
