I apologize if this has been posted before. Steve Denney is a good guy. His column is pretty regular reading for me. Nothing earth shattering here, but still was a good read for me.

I agree, this is a good article, but lacks any really important new or unique information.
The problem I see is that the law. As it applies to what you are required to do as an armed citizen and what the police are required or reasonably expected/allowed to do in an interaction with a lawfully armed citizen, the TX law is rather ambiguous.
For example, if you are stopped while driving, then do you have to present your CHL if you are not carrying (no, but commonly this is not really known by the officer)? Do you have to disclose that you are carrying at all, even if you present your CHL (my reading of the law is, no, but again, often I hear of people who are made to do so by the police)? Does the officer have the right to disarm you for just any old reason (no, but they do anyway)? Does the officer have to document or record what the reason was why you were disarmed (no, so there is no accountability if they do so without cause)?
A good article, but in TX, we need better (more clear) law.
