Interesting contrast to Texas Law.

"Little Rock, AR - Should you be able to carry a gun to church? It's a question state lawmakers will be taking up next week when they debate a bill that's kicked up a little controversy."

Good to hear. That was one law that really rankled when I traveled up there a year or so ago. Churches are spiritual sanctuaries, not physical sanctuaries. We need to be able to defend ourselves by the most effective means possible in places of worship, too.

I sure hope this passes. I live on the state line and you have to know both Texas and Arkansas laws. We can carry in Texas' churches, but I have always attended in Arkansas. Makes it a lot easier when both states have close to the same rules. Now, I just wish they would change the rule that says "Any licensee entering a private home shall notify the occupant that the licensee is carrying a concealed handgun".
