Being single I'm hitting up the bar scene tonight. Pray I won't regret my decision to put myself in a position where I will not be carrying.

Be careful and make sure you have a designated driver. :thumbs2:

I'm glad I'm married to Mrs. Oldgringo and am not forced to make painful decisions and journeys such as you describe above.

Good luck, God Bless and be safe, it's a jungle out there...or at least it used to be :eek6 .

I live in an area where it's convenient for a bus ride to downtown and a $10 cab ride back ;)

I'll pray you don't regret leaving your protection at home. ;-)

If you're single and looking to party, I wish you luck and fun - and that you never need the sidearm you left at home.

If you're single and looking for Mrs. atxgun, you'll probably not find her in a bar.

You may find her at the range, in a gun store, in the library, bookstore, a sports event, church group, or any activity that is fun and draws fun people.

Just my 2¢ and worth every penny.

Very good advice but I was just looking to party and dance on a lonely valentines ;)

Also made it home alive, double win.

I agree with the principle but I say fun is a matter of taste. I'm more likely to find my soulmate at a bar with music and dancing than at a church or watching rich people play games.

Glad to hear atxgun made it home safe after a night of fun.

You know, there ought to be one of those smiley-faces that portrays giggling.

I do not giggle often - it is not really acceptable for men to giggle - but sometimes someone posts something that ought to be answered with a giggling smiley-face.

My wife and I did spend our share of time in bars, dancing and enjoying the music and the ambiance - but it was more years ago than I wish to contemplate. And there is more to houses-of-worship than rich people playing games - but I do know where you're coming from.

Anyway, glad atxgun had a good evening and did not need his sidearm. Every day that I do not need to draw my pistol is a good day, for which I'm grateful.

Have fun!

Regards,
Andrew

When I said "rich people play games" I was talking about professional sports. I'm not interested in watching millionaires play games for money. Not in an overpriced stadium. Not in a smoky sports bar. Not even in the comfort of my living room. I definitely don't want to date a sports fan.
