Teach your girls to shoot as well

A woman I know was recently beaten and stabbed through and through. The scumbag did this in front of her children. He then left her for dead and stole her car. He somehow managed to procure a firearm and killed himself inside her four door Volkswagen that she still owed on.
Her young son managed to muster up the courage to remember his emergency training and called the cops. He got his younger brother and sister dressed and ready after he helped his mother dress her horrible wounds. She survived but will never be the same again...mentally or physically.
I told her that she needed to get a lady S&W and never tell anyone about it until she was married. She still disagrees with me saying that if there was a firearm in the house everyone would be dead. I agree with this, but if she was the only one who knew, she might not have been so gravely injured.

You are correct ironsights but she has believed a lie so long she thinks it the truth & will forever remain a slave to fear.

i already tought my wife the basics, when my daughter is born she will learn early as well.

The anti-gun media has spread this lie so much that there are many, many people that believe it.
I raised two daughters and have always had guns in the house...I taught them not only what they were and what they could do, but how to use them.

I tried, but I just don't know a whole lot about how to do it...sorry, but I wish I could, it is a great video and it would emphasize what we have been talking about.

I've posted this pic here before but it's worth posting again.
These girls are currently the top three ranked junior high power rifle competitors in Texas, the boys hold fourth place and below. Someone taught them how to shoot and it's not a stretch to say that these girls are probably better rifle shots than most of us.
