Is there any way to reduce the trigger pull on the Taurus PT145???

You mean the amount of force, or the distance traveled?

I have a Taurus PT145, and I'm not a fan of the long DAO trigger either. However, for what I paid for the pistol, I'm not going to spend a bunch of money trying to improve it.

Trigger pulls can be lightened and smoothed out by a skilled gunsmith, but the basic design of a pistol can't be changed. It is what it is. If you can't live with the Taurus PT145 trigger, buy another gun. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. :tiphat:

He means distance travelled. The pull weight is not bad at all. Too much take up. Bout 70% of the trigger travel range is take up.

I bought a used DAO PT145 and liked it but also don't care for the long take-up. I did like it enough to buy the 3rd gen mellenium pro with the single action trigger. It can fire double action if you get a hard primer. There is still a large take-up but it is very light, then you reach the sigle action part of the pull. On follow up shots you dont release the trigger all the way but just to the reset point.
