I'm still waiting for my concealed license. For the meantime, I went out and bought a Glock 23 with a Bianchi Evader Holster. For some reason, the holster makes the gun slant forward. Is this normal? It is hard to draw since it's slanted forward. I tried a paddle holster from Fobus and it sticks out too much. I thought it was the size of the gun so I bought a Glock 27. With the subcompact of the Glock 27, it still shows unless I wear a huge shirt which is over size for my body frame. Any suggestions? Also input on why the Bianchi Evader holster makes the gun slant forward will help.

Thanks for you help. I truely appreciate it. I hate buying holsters and testing it out and it doesn't work and I feel bad returning them so I just keep the ones I bought already. Also why are some holster makes the firearm slant? What's the purpose of it? It makes it hard to draw.

It is called "cant". It makes the firearm easier to conceal. It is also easier to draw from, depending on where you wear it on your belt. Experiment with placement of the holster, and practice the draw (with your UNLOADED firearm) Eventually, it will seem natural.

I carry my Sig with as much cant as I can get when I use my paddle holster. But yes you will learn to appreciate cant. The primary reason is that when you draw your firearm, it's harder to draw straight up, and your arm will prefer to draw forward a bit as well.

I have 2 crossbreed supertuck holsters,you can adjust the cant of the holster to your liking,It's also inside the waist band and you can tuck your shirt over the gun inside your pants for that dressy look if you want to

One of the ones I own is an outside the waistband, (worn on a belt) straight drop, high quality plastic. There's no option for canting with this model - straight drop only. I really like this style.

There's no right or wrong in holster style preference. Also, with time, holster preferences have a tendency to change.

There are also a variety of holsters that have straight drop and/or canting options too.

I haven't actually gone through my inventory, but I would guess I own eight to ten different holsters and I've recently ordered a new one.

Chances are you'll go through the same holster buying process as time and different handguns make themselves yours...

It's kind of fun and frustrating at the same time.

If the IWB holsters dont bother you you might check the MTAC review that in my signature line. It has worked for me and I have had it [abbreviated profanity deleted] just about a year and half now.

high quality holsters and belts. I carry my clock 19 and 23 plus 2 mag. Mine arrived in less then 2 weeks.

I'm very happy with my Supertuck. I did buy a MTAC first based on good reviews, but the paddle (if that's what it is called) did not go up far enough and it caused the back of the gun slide to dig into my side. I did end up using the thinner MTAC belt clips on the Supertuck and now have my perfect holster.
