Howdy folks,
haven't been around for a while. Been working on special projects in my free time lately, but got to thinking about something and wanted to bounce it off a few minds here.
I sprained/twisted my ankle recently so i'm back on my cane again. I got to thinking, wouldn't be be nice to have a shotgun cane?
Anyone know of a place where i can order a functional shotgun cane / walking stick?
What about legal considerations?

Afternoon,
I am being treated for old (mistreat by a youth) knee. If it may require a cane. Is gun cane legal? What about the disability act laws? Ramps for wheelchairs, special doors????

Wont that fall under AOW? I think it might be illegal to have guns designed to look like something else.

Howdy,
I don't know where you would find a gun cane. I searched the web and didn't find any, but I'm sure you have already done that. I did fine some sword canes.... pretty neat, however I don't know about the legality of carrying one.
They have some pretty nice ones on these sites, if interested.

AFAIK, there's no way to legally carry a sword cane in TX. The gun cane would definitely be an AOW like a pen gun, but I haven't found any prohibition on carrying AOWs under CHL or otherwise, though you'd need to carry the paperwork at all times. Maybe Chas will chime in with some input on this one.

I have two Smith & Wesson guns disquised a pneumatic nailers. No, wait - they really are pneumatic nailers. One is a 16 gauge straight and the other is a 15 gauge angle nailer. Here is the 16 gauge model.

Just make your cane out of 1/2 " conduit pipe. Paint it black, cap both ends after filling the interior with sand. Then whatever you hit will stay hit.. Made one of these for an elderly friend. Hit a dog ONCE...never bothered by the dog again. Whenever the dog saw him after that, he ran in the other direction...

probably with a "unique gait," as well!
be careful your cane isn't construed as a club!
meaning it looks more cane than club, is all.
