Although I realize it's not the same thing, for some reason, this video reminded me of this story:

Two hillbillies buy hay at $3 a bale each. They load their truck and go down the road and sell it off at $2.50 per bale. At the end of the day the first hillbilly looks at the second and asks why they are broke. The second hillbilly scratches his head and looks around a bit, "I dunno," he replied, "Maybe we need a bigger truck."

In my first year of engineering school, the most fundamental principle of engineering was taught:

Define the problem. Develop a solution.

Although I am clearly biased, I think we would be better off if there were more engineers and fewer lawyers and career politicians in office. Or at least someone with enough sense to understand this basic fundamental.

I've been spending the last two months redoing a whole bunch of "solutions" developed by engineers.

The tricky part is defining the problem.

I "was" doing that also...Until they got rid of the half doing that...Just this last month...

They are still there, now nothing gets done...
