Kahr CW9 accuracy problems?

Maybe I'm just lucky...but has anyone out there had or heard of bad luck with a Kahr CW9?

I got one NIB about a month ago and at 10 yards it shoots a solid 3" low and left. There is not enough adjustment in the rear sight to correct the windage, and elevation would require a very tall sight. 3 different shooters, 4 differnet ammo (Monarch 115FMJ, Win 115 FMJ, Speer GDHP +P, 125 grain Berry's over 4.1grains H. Universal) fully supported shooting position with the frame resting on a solid shooting rest, slow rifle style trigger squeeze, left and right handed shooting...it's the gun, not the shooter(s). :banghead:

I've heard nothing but praise everywhere I go about them, and their customer service leaves little to complain about, paid for shipping and even even had FedEx pick up at my home, but still...

Whatcha think? Did I get a lemon or is this about right for 'em?

Don't know about the CW9 but my K9 shoots different than my 1911's.......

On my 1911's I put the point I want to hit right on top of the front sight with the front and rear sights lined up evenly.

On the K9 I have to COVER the point I want to hit with the front sight with the front and rear sights lined up evenly.

My CW9 is remarkably accurate, however, I deem it not necessarily reliable. I've tried a variety of brands of ammo and seen a lot of failure to fires. The striker hits the primer but doesn't fire. There is an obvious dent. So far, Speer and Federal defense ammo works, Winchester white box works, but I have lots of trouble with Rem UMC, Wolf, and some factory reloads. Doesn't make me warm and fuzzy about using it as my carry.

Talking to customer service, their reply was 'don't shoot the brands that don't work well." Or I could send it in, but chances are it would work fine for them and cost me all kinds of shipping.

I guess I could consider a new striker and recoil spring...? I took it down and cleaned the striker and striker channel and all the other innards I don't remember the names for .
BTW, the break in period (200-300 rounds) was flawless and extremely accurate.

Anyone, If you have a CW9, and you are anywhere near Austin, I'll give you my remaining 50 rounds of Rem UMC just to see if yours has the same issue as mine.

My CW9 hasn't had any FTF, nor any other failures (about 250 rounds of WWB). As for accuracy, at 7 yards it is great, getting nice tight groups. But at 15 yards, I've had a hard time getting consistent groups. But I figured this was because of the short barrel + distance + shooter error (jerking DA trigger).

But in all, I'm very happy with my CW9.

O6nop - I'm in the Austin area, and could meet you sometime at a range. However, can't do it this week, nor next.

My range of choice is Austin Rifle Club. It's free - I'm a member, and I can bring a guest or two free.
Evenings after 5:00 or on a weekend works, too.

If we do get a chance to go out there or wherever you prefer, I'll check my accuracy beyond 7 yds before that.

I shoudl probably mention that the first 5 rounds were the Speer GD ammo and it went into a 1.25" group. Following groups were similarly tight when I did my part...so I like the consistent groups. The inability to hit at point of aim is the irritating part.

Oh well, I sent mine back with targets and a long explanation. I'll see how Kahr treats me...
