It's very sad that America can elect a black President but some states still won't get rid of reconstruction-era laws enacted to keep freedmen from enjoying the rights of free men.

You have to remember that the majority of folks who voted for this President were Liberals/Democrats. These are the same type of folks who oppose guns and fight to try and outlaw them.
