Guns in America
Most of the recent shootings have been carried out by legal gunmen.
"We had 10 dead in Alabama, eight dead in North Carolina, 10 dead in California, including two police officers, 12 dead, reportedly today, in Binghamton and our political leaders say we should just enforce the laws on the books," Peter Hamm, a spokesman The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said Friday afternoon. "The laws on the books are not working."

Maybe Omar needs to go back to Abu Dabi or Iraq or Flying carpetland where it's safe, where' they have absolute gun control laws. Maybe his sister..whateverhername was...would still be alive today if they stayed over there. She could be happily blown up by a car bomb or mowed down by an opposing tribe of militants. How dare him come over here, obviously an immigrant and/or the child of immigrants, and tell ME (and every other grandchild of Washington, Jeffersona and Henry) and my forefathers that our heritage of liberty and the right to keep and bear arms is wrong and dangerous. That's presumtuous and rude to say the least and illustrates the danger of massive immigration. We want immigrants to assimilate and who think like us (real Americans that is...opposed to leftist). I'm sorry the man lost his sister, but that does not have anything to do with our right to keep and bear arms.. Heck...since we are on the subject of him being an Arabic man complaining about guns in the wrong hands...he should be complaining about the U.S. Government, since they send entire armies to bomb cities and shoot at his countrymen. The government is more dangerous with guns than the population of our States.
Now, so as not to drift your thread to an off topic immigration, so most of these shootings are commited by legal gun owners huh....well...most car accidents are caused by legal drivers.

The show on Friday will likely be anti-gun, however, a small link just below the main video has a video with some GREAT points echoed by virutally every gun owner in the nation. Small link, hard to find, but if you didn't see it, watch it. It is a man who owns no guns, is not affiliated with NRA or any other pro-gun groups (as reported by him) and he is against anti-gun laws. He claims to have no horse in the race, but he's a law professor I believe he said, and his points about why no gun control law will ever work are pure gold. But of course, the liberal media will never show that interview on TV, and they hide it on their website. When will this idiocracy end?

Absolutely Doug,
But these people will only use arguments which seem to strengthen their cause. Ask them if the gove should ban automobiles, or alcohol, and they wont know what to say.

They think that banning a gun from a determined murderer will suddenly change his/her mind. Oh no, he/she would never think of another means to kill someone, like a pipe, knife, rope, etc.

Flying carpetland? That's really uncalled for.

EDIT: I'd pay cash money for a flying carpet.

Thing of it is, we have two shootings two day apart. Two different shooters. 14 people killed in one shooting, 3 killed in another, that's 16 people killed by two different killers who happened to be using guns. It's been what...2 years since the Virginia Tech shootings...

Now we have an Empire of 50 provinces (formally called States) that the National Government has a leash on. Within this Empire, we have roughly 300,000,000 people. 16 people killed in a 2 day period.............big.....fat.......hairy......deal. More people are probably killed around the country in car accidents inside of just one hour every day. Because of 14 people somebody is going to push the Imperial Government to press its' boot down harder on our right to keep and bear arms?

This report is nothing but dramatizing, sensationalizing, scarey stories and sob stories to get people emotionally hysterical and ignore common sense, common law, God given rights and their own Heritage.

I, for one, don't buy and and say spit on these people, spit on their sob stories and scary stories. "rlol" for the nonsense it is and defy them :fire for the liars and scum that they are. If that makes me "insensitive" flattery will get you nowhere :patriot: :txflag: I don't do political correctness. I don't play their game. So guns were used in these relatively trivial crimes, as Archie Bunker once said to that, "Would you feel any better if they was pushed out of windows?" :smilelol5:

Just watched it. Doesn't say much for him as a professor to me....because it doesn't take a professor to figure those things out. "What's wrong?" asks the blonde cheerleader reporter (to give her the benefit of the doubt, she could be playing devils advocate), "with sending to prison for life anybody who's ever in any way mishandled a firearm?" So if somebody accidentally shoots their firearm because of carelessness and puts a hole in their wall or a neighbor's wall should go to jail for life? Somebody who gets mad at their neighbor and shoots out their car windows out of a flash of anger should be sent to jail for life? Somebody who uses a .22 to shoot a roadsign should be sent to jail for life? Somebody who hunts with a rifle on somebody else's property without permission should be sent to jail for life? Man you'd have a lot of people in jail.

But really, I think ANYBODY who is not in prison whether they are ex-con or not has the right to keep and bear arms. If they TRULY ARE so dangerous that they shouldn't be around a gun...then they shouldn't be out of jail in the first place...or they should be put down...PERIOD.

Boy, if I had that, I think I would have to break into song. "I can show you the worlddddddd! Shining, shimmering, splendid!" "rlol"
