Called Dallas Market Hall but they're offices are apparently closed on weekends. Anyone know if carry is restricted during the show? Headed out there soon and it's the last day of the show so if I don't get a reply I'll just carry and have to make the trip back to my car if needed :???: I'll be sure to post the results of the field trip.

Yes, vendors and individuals both set up usually.

It has been years since I went. I never really found any good deals. However, there sometimes were some good deals, but they were on VERY expensive guitars (>$2K) and rare vintage guitars. Last one I was at they had a '57 Gibson flame top for $25K that was a good deal. ;-) They may have changed since I have been there though.

Well good news is that nothing was posted and I carried without hassle. Bad news is that if you want a vintage 55 Les Paul Gold Top it's gonna run you about $100k. :eek6

As long as you're happy. If you ever play a really good electric, it'll spoil you forever. (IMHO)

once your ears grow enough to be able to discern the difference, then you find that yeah, that $200 Fender Clone just ain't cuttin' the mustard...

I know exactly what you mean, but still, for a cheap ibanez stamped piece of plastic it gets the job done.

I really want an expensive guitar, but right now I'm in gun buying mode so if it doesn't involve guns, ammo, or reloading I'm prob. not buying it. I can barely afford my computer upgrades right now I'm buying so many arms.

I'm actually still deciding on what "really good" electric I want. I guess I need to go to a guitar center and play with every one of em.

I like to play a lot of older rock like CCR, some Santana, songs like free ride and a few Boston songs.

edit: I sliced the heck outta my pointer finger playing free ride yesterday lol, I did a bar chord slide and the string found the crease in my finger and just dug in lol. My callus's can't come soon enough.
