Mag Extenders

Dillion Precison sells mag extenders for the M&P 9/40 and the XD45. The extender adds 6 rounds to the M&P 9 and 3 to the XD45. Has anyone tried one of these extender kits? I was curious as to how much longer the mag protrudes from the gun and is there any problem with rounds feeding properly?
