Is anyone familiar with The College of the Mainland Defensive Handgun
Course? Pros / Cons?

Sounds like a good training course, but is it good instruction? Doesn't
hurt that us "Seniors" get a fee discount either.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't know much about the course, but the range instructor over there is a super nice guy and very patient. I had to qualify for Pre-service Corrections training about 12 years ago and the same fellow is still there.

Great municipal outdoor range there too.

I've taken this course twice because I liked it so much. The Instructors for this class are top notch, very highly experienced and just all around good guys. They provide all of the bullets and targets and indoor range. What a deal!

They teach a variety of skills including malfunction drills, shooting from various positions including seated, moving, sight alignment, trigger control...

Bring your holster and usual carry method.

It's hard to spend alot of time on any one drill because the class is only twelve hours but it is well worth the money. imho

It would be great if y'all could get a group to sign up because many times the class doesn't make, due to low enrollment.

They also have an advanced class that I have not taken.

Let us know if you sign up and how you liked the class.

For more info, call Mr. Powell. He's a great guy
