IRS tax lien

Trying to settle a difference of opinion of weather or not that a fed tax lien is a reason for a CHL denial?

I think not. DPS doesn't care if you owe money to the Feds. They only care if you owe money to the state of Texas.

i was under the impression that a tax lien by the IRS made you ineligible unless you could produce documents supporting that you were on a payment plan ??

I don't see anything about Federal taxes.
(10) has not been finally determined to be delinquent in making a child support payment administered or collected by the attorney general;
(11) has not been finally determined to be delinquent in the payment of a tax or other money collected by the comptroller, the tax collector of a political subdivision of the state, or any agency or subdivision of the state;
(12) has not been finally determined to be in default on a loan made under Chapter 57, Education Code;

I'm not a tax attorney, nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn Express...

But, I'd hope an IRS lien had/has nothing to do with your CHL eligibility.

In my limited view it should not.

i guess i was wrong. since i have no liens of any kind, i did not know for sure. perhaps i should have waited to let someone else answer first....my bad
