Please pray for a friend who was visiting Brownsville and was in a car accident. Her back has been broken in 3 places and she is having trouble getting stabilized.

I want you to know that the power of prayer is just that: power-ful.. My thoughts are with your friend and you, as well as all those closely acquainted with you and the friend. For the doctors for wisdom and grace. The Lord can do all things, if we are faithful. Thank Him, even for the trouble. Praying for your comfort as well to understand the purpose.

Father, I lift up Longhorn's friend and ask that You would take her by the hand, let her know that you are with her it power, strength, comfort, peace and healing. Lord guide the doctors and give them wisdom from above as they work to stabilize her. Lord manifest your loving peace in her heart and we ask for a miracle on her behalf. Thank you, Father; in the name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray.

Update:
She has been stabilized now. She is now able to have surgery this afternoon. She did not have feeling in her legs - but praise God she now can feel everything - which includes A LOT of pain. One of her vertebrae has been splintered - they have to be extremely careful with that one...
Please continue to pray!

She finally had surgery today! She was in pain for two days before they could do surgery. It lasted for many hours and they found a broken rib as well during the surgery.
She is out and it appears that everything looks good (all things considered...with a broken back). She is expected to have a slow and painful recovery of several months (6+) ...
It truly is a miracle from God that she is even alive!!!

Thanks, Longhorn, for the update, I will be continuing to pray for her through the recovery.
Thank the Lord for His mercy and grace, and Lord we thank You for bringing her through the surgery and now Lord be at her side through the months ahead. Help her to keep her eyes upon You and Lord hold on tight to her hand as You walk beside her. Father I pray for peace and hope in abundance, calm her heart and mind and fill her with Your strength. In Jesus' name. Amen
God Bless You,
george

Prayers from here, as well. Under the circumstances, pain is a blessing...although I know the trial is agony for her. The other option would be far worse.

Update:
Everything looked promising since she has had surgery and then transported (via Ambulance) back to San Antonio. I just heard today that something is going wrong. It appears that she is sliding backwards in regards to her legs. During Physical Therapy there has been a noticeable weakness in her left leg. In fact today, during testing she could feel a pressure on her legs but she could no longer tell if it was heat or cold on her legs. She could tell before - now it's getting worse. It was also having major uncrontrollable spasms in her left and she was not aware that it was occuring until the PT showed her.
She is in her early 20's and has her whole life ahead of her!
Please continue to pray.
