Morn'
My wife was stoped for speeding. She gave the officer her license (her driver license and CHL). The warning was issued by the officer. The officer did not ask me for ID. Was I required to present my ID CHL? There were no weopons in the car.

I assume that "Both" means your wife has her CHL? If there were no weapons in the car at all, then your wife was only required to show her TDL. That said, showing her CHL was an act of courtesy to the officer. Since you were not asked for your ID, you were not required to show any. Since you were not armed and there were no guns in the car, you would not have been required to show your CHL if asked for your ID, but doing so would have been an act of courtesy to the officer.

There is no need to give more information than asked. Only if the officer asks you spicifially are you required to show. Then at that time you use your own judgement to show both if not carrying.

Same answer above applies to this question as well.

There is no requirement for you to give you CHL to an officer unless the officer asks YOU for identification.

The more troubling part to me is, there were 2 CHL's in the car and no gun. Kinda defeats the purpose of the CHL.

i was wondering that too

If the police don't ask for ID you don't have to show your CHL.

If you have a gun but don't have a CHL you don't have to give any hints there's a gun in the car.

Ok, I lied about having a weopon (CK 97B .45 ACP, right hip) . I do not tell the wife when I carry a weopon.. She does evaluated me for weopons which is good test of concealment.
When we were stop she truthfully reported no weopon. If she know of my weopon, she would have reported it. I believe there are places and times that there is no need of concealed weopon. (very few)

Man, I am glad you brought up the shower thing. I wasn't going to ask what the other 15 mins were for.

I was thinking mine would only be about 3 mins. 15....wow my hat's off to you!
