My wife and I are relatively new to Texas (DFW area), and we're looking for a good class within about a half hour of Euless. Any recommendations?
Thanks

Easy guy to take it from. He does it from his living room. Won't say it was exciting but he kept me awake and interested. He is also a kimber dealer.
he is located off of I-30 and Cooks lane

At least one guy (a pilot) that I can recall from Euless shoots at our place regularly. Says it's not too much of a drive.
http://www.dcsa.bizland.com/chlinfo.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; indicates I've got 4 CHL classes scheduled in the next 30 days. Sometimes I have to go to the web site to know when I'm supposed to show up.

PM me if questions after "home study".
' Noticed post numero uno. Welcome to the forum, btw

Lots to be gleaned here.

Welcome to the forum fletcher.
Our own forum moderator Crossfire teaches courses in Roanoke, which is close to you guys. I HIGHLY recommend her class, especially for couples!

Acadamy of firearms training in Grand Prairie (
http://www.chltraining.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) They are all inclusive. The only thing you need when you leave there is a check to the state and a stamp.

Is this guy in business anymore? I emailed him, 2 times, and the email keeps getting rejected because his inbox is at capacity. I also have called him 2 times leaving name and number, and so far no call back. I started calling him last Tuesday.
I would have loved to take the course from him as he's just down the road from me, but, oh well.

I'm taking my course from these folks:
http://safegunacademy.com/classDatesNew.shtml#jul18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
RRK & Assoc. lists a Euless address, but I don't think that's where they give classes(maybe Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine):
http://www.txgunpermit.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
TCHA list a ton of CHL instructors by zip code. That's where I found Safegunacademy:
http://www.txchia.org/inst3ne.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Hope that helps.

chltx.com is the one I used. Agreed not too exciting, but gets it done at a reasonable price. Make sure you take off your shoes before entering his home. I have definitely had much worse times at training sessions at work before, this was good because it was something everyone there was interested in. To be honest, I was really impressed by how few silly questions there were. You know the type, people that "what if?" things to death? I was particularly impressed with the students as well. One young couple, several middle agers (like me), one guy that had only fired a gun once and then it was 10 years ago, and another guy that had never fired a handgun in his life. Everyone passed everything.
We are all getting our CHLs for protection of our families and ourselves. The guy that had never fired a gun before was there because he ran a store and had been robbed at gunpoint recently. It was a feeling of helplessness that he didn't want to experience ever again. Can't say I blame him.
