Question about 30.06 posting

I usually use the drive-up at my credit union, but today, I had to go in to take care of some business. Unfortunately, I was met with a 30.06 posting on the front door. I had to take care of the business, so I grudgingly went back to the car and disarmed. After I talked to a teller, I realized I was missing some paperwork so I left and went home to get it. Instead of going back to the same branch, I went to a closer branch. This branch was only posted with gunbuster sign (I looked everywhere for a 30.06).

So my question is: The 30.06 at the main branch only applies to that building, correct? If the other branch isn't posted, then I can carry in that branch, right? Even though I am aware of the posting at the main branch, that shouldn't be effective notice to other branches.

Either way, after I conducted my business, I immediately found another CU that was "more" CHL friendly (they had a sign that said, "no weapons allowed" but no 30.06). They even beat the interest rate on the loan I transferred to them!

I'm crafting an email to the old CU now to let them know why I moved and to make sure they know they lost out on a few thousands dollars in interest...I have also posted it on texas3006.com

You are correct. No valid 30.06 sign at that particular location means you can carry.
