My trip to Truckee/Lake Tahoe CA
I was there for my Sisters Wedding. Most of the people that attended were from the area with some from St Louis and others from Kansas City.

First off, it was a true drag to have to go unarmed.
I made it point to wear gun related shirts.....07 & 08 Badlands IDPA...08 LA State IDPA... 07 TX State IDPA....& Cross Timbers IDPA.

There were some questions asked from the guests and from a couple of the cashiers at the little tourist stores and local stop and robs. The only negative remark that I got didnt have anything to do with guns, or my choice of shirts, but just the fact that I am Proudly from Texas.

A guy came up to me at Lake Tahoe's North Shore beach asking if Collin Co was near Dallas as he used to live in Plano. We talked about it and IDPA for a few minutes......all positive.

I would like to add that...EVERY time I went from one place to another, got in or out of a vehicle, left the store, etc etc.....I had this overwhelming feeling that I was forgetting something.

It sure feels good to have my buddy back on my side. :fire :fire :fire

I'm going to California in July to visit family and friends, and I have exactly the same concerns. It will be the longest I've been without carrying a weapon since I got my CHL.

I had planned a trip to Kalifornia last month and had to abort it because of a medical issue that came up. I was actually glad. I hate the idea of contributing anything to their over-bloated, bankrupt economy..
