Modular SIG P250

I have seen other threads referencing the SIG P235, but can find no details on the "modular" aspects of this weapon.
I noticed it in a copy of American Rifleman this morning, and looked it up on the SIG Sauer website.
For the MSRP of $710.00 do you get a weapon that can be changed from .357 to 9mm para. to .40 S&W? Am I reading that right?
It also offers a .45 ACP for $810.00 (not sure of price). Is this one not interchangeable?
Has anyone purchased one? If so, can you provide some feedback on what you think of it?

Talk to GlockShooter, he has one of those things, but I'm not sure of the model number....
He and I were called to jury duty last Thursday, and we had a nice conversation about guns and a lot of other commonalities.
I believe his was a .40 S&W and 9mm. Just have to change out the barrels, and mags. Everything else is interchangeable.
That would be a really neat gun to have. A convertible handgun.

Actulally it is the sig P250 that is "modular".

Thanks Steve.....not being a member of the wealthy, I don't own a Sig, and as witnessed, I SURE don't know the Sig's model #'s.

not a prob, you should still check one out, I dont have one yet,
but from what I understand they are alot lower in price than other sigs.

The P250 is fully modular and interchangable. The pistol part (metal frame) is actually just the trigger action. It has three different size plastic frames and three different length slides and barrels. Each option comes in all calibers.
If you are rich enough, you can have one "gun" that is compact, subcompact, full size, short barreled, medium barreled, or full length barreled, 9mm, .357Sig, .40SW, or .45acp, or any combination [abbreviated profanity deleted] them, depending on your mood that day.
At least, that is the advertising claims for it when fully marketed. I do not believe it has hit the parts availability yet for all of this. As of right now, I believe you can get some of the different grips and slide lengths, but not all in any one caliber. Note that i coul dbe wrong as I have not looked into these since I saw my first one in Houston last year.
