Colorado Colleges, Restaurants

Hi folks,

We'll be headed to Colorado this summer, and there are three situations for CHL I wanted to be sure about. Please confirm or deny the following:

1) It is ok to carry at a college or university.

2) At restaurants that carry alcohol, it's ok to carry as long as the restaurant isn't a bar, or I'm not at the bar-section of the restaurant, and I'm not drinking. However, do they have our equivalent of a 51% sign so I know up front whether or not a restaurant is technically a bar?

3) The federal bill that passed which allows concealed carry in national parks won't go into effect until Feb. 10, 2010, so they're still off limits.

Thanks!
Clark

1. Maybe?
2. Not that we've seen?
3. Correct.

See this website and draw your own conclusions

BTW, Colorado is an open carry state except where prohibited locally; i.e., Denver.

Enjoy, be safe and bring money. They love Texas money up here. For instance, I was gouged $323.00 for a simple tooth extraction in Gunnison on Wednesday. :banghead:

In Colorado it's up to each university to decide if they allow concealed carry on campus. Currently the only one that allows it is Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Sweet, cause that's where I'll be! Too bad CU doesn't allow it though, as I'll be there for a bit, too.

In some circles, the city in which the University of Colorado is located is called "the People's Republic of Boulder".
