Both took their CHL class this past weekend. :woohoo

Now if the student carry on campus bill ever passes, my daughter can carry while at school (well... after the paperwork gets processed).

My wife took her course this past Saturday, as well! I just dropped it in the mail for her today. And her wait begins. :waiting:

Burdett & Sons.

We have been friends w/ Dave & Cathy Burdett for close to 20 years now.

Wife: marrying a country girl who shares the same values I do?
Daughter: raise them up right (with a mom who also teaches them the same values).

I should have said this: my 2 younger daughters were mildly upset that they couldn't take the class yet. The middle one doesn't turn 21 until next April, and the youngest is still 18.

The youngest one is probably the best shot in the family... :anamatedbanana

Very nice. I've been in their store a few times and have always been impressed. Very nice people.

As Uncle Mas' said "Nothing will make a man a feminist like have daughters". Bless those precious kids.

Congratualations on getting them both out. Tell the daughters there time will come. I remember feeling the same way when my parents took the course when I was in middle school. Do you think it helped that they both took the course together? I have been trying to get my girlfriend to take it for a while, but she was always reluctant too citing time as the factor. Once I suggested I sit with her through the 10 hours rear end numbing session again, her mindset changed completely.

Burdetts is nto the same store I remember growing up going to with my father. Barry doesn't cut a deal to the loyal customers that have been there for 20 years+ like Mr. or Mrs. Burdett used to. Kinda miss Mr. Burdett being in the store, but Mrs. Burdett is always pleasant to talk to. That doesn't stop me from dropping in every time I come home from college though and add another wish item to the list. Just my $.02
