Instructors Presentations - Best source to get a good one

I know some of the associations have them for sale. Are there any out there that are better than the others?
Is this something that gets shared within the community? I understand intellectual property and hard work on powerpoint decks so dont think I am asking for a handout.
Just some advice if you dont mind. :clapping:

I ordered one while I was in Austin 2 weeks ago , waiting for it to get here . I reallly liked it ,It covered everything. had videos , pics , some notes already in it. I`m on the move right now .
If you want PM me and I`ll send you the info on it. The author of the Presentation lives in the DFW area , but I ordered it from the TCHA while I was in class in Austin. I liked it the best of all the people that came in and talked to us.

OK, great. I think you and I may have sat together and/or talked about the presentation.
I will check into TCHA. It sounds like that is the one to get.

ok , not a problem , I`ll post as soon as I get it together, out of town right now.
I spoke to them on Monday and they said it should be shipping very soon. They had to correct a couple of things so it can open properly.

Yep I got it. what I understood it would have some notes pre-installed in the program ,and I would just have to edit what I wanted in it, but it doesnt . I`ll have to do it, no biggie. It has everything that is covered in the course ,just add your own notes to the tittled page. Has some videos , some funnies, a couple of pictures.Thinking its a good base to start with.Gonna add some more information for the class , some other pictures , maybe a couple vidoes that I like.
For the most part I`m please in what I got. Gotta make it my own now.

Hi guys!
I was in that class as well.
I bought that package, and it took a lot of overhauling to make it consistent and presentable.
The baseline of information was pretty good, but the consistency of presentation was awful!
The outline had no coherence or logic, the sections and number of the outline were broken and in disarray.
I have spent 30 or 40 hours getting it into a presentable format.
Maybe we could get together and meet over lunch or something and discuss the presentation materials and see how things are coming along.
I have my first class scheduled for 8-8-09.

Just got in, I wanted to post a solid comment on this topic though it is a few months late. :tiphat:
I purchased the CHL lesson Plan from TCHA and did not like it at all.
If you will check down the line of posts you will find out why; evidently others have come to the same conclusion.
The saying goes: eat more lamb, 10,000 foxes can't all be wrong.

The disorder and incoherent presentation in the TCHA's power point is too tedious to put up with during a class.
On the other side of the spectrum is the one sold by South Texas CHL Supply.
it follows a logical formatted outline as if it were straight out of the notes that the DPS handed out to us.
It's clear, concise, well outlined, and contains way more slides and information than any other presentation; more videos too.

I happen to know that the newer version coming out late this month will also contain a Spanish New License power point and the test in Spanish too; it has New License and Renewal License lesson plans.
Currently everything out there is in Power Point 2007, this one will also have it in 2003 as well; for the older programs.
Check the website, there is a long list of everything included in it.

Sorry, Im a bit late to the party...yes, I ordered this and I wasnt real impressed. The layout is horrible. The Powerpoint itself was apparently done by someone with little to no experience in using that program so not only will you have to amend the information you get, but you will also have to completely repair the presentation itself. Im capable of doing all that which is why I didnt ask for my money back. The presentation uses a lot of outdated and ancient clip art, looking like something from the early 90's. Again, you will have to augment and replace these images. Its taken me hours and hours to clean it up and get it somewhat presentable. That said, Ive yet to present it in class since I lost access to a projector so Ive been doing the lecture thing. The information is fine, but the product is intended to be used as is and I would NOT recommend that. Formatting issues, spelling errors etc. are all included at no additional cost.
