Not really, but I found their reason for being anti CHL ignorant. I bought my Tag watch their 6 years ago before they had up the 30.06 signs. I need a new battery and they were supposed to replace it for free (which they did not do, I had to pay a good chunk of change to get it replaced and pressure tested). So, I went to the location on Bay Area in webster. After dropping of my watch I e-mailed Jared to ask why they had that policy, this was their reply:

Your customer service representative is:Kerry Schnee
Summary: FIREARMS POLICY

Dear Morgan Massie,

I would like to respond to your e-mail concerning the Firearms/Weapons policy posted at our Jared, the Galleria Of Jewelry location.

Even though many states have laws permitting residents to carry concealed weapons and firearms, private employers have the right to ban weapons and prohibit persons with weapons from entering the premises. For the safety and security of our customers and store employees, Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry, has made the decision to ban weapons and anyone possessing them from entering the store.

Sincerely,
Kerry Schnee
Customer Relations

I asked her to explain how this made anyone safe, but I never received a response. I will never shop there again and I informed them of that. More ignorance and fear of guns.

If you see an armed security guard or LEO in their store, you should ask why they are risking the "safety and security" of their customers and store employees by having an armed person in their store.

I was over at the Jared by the Vista Ridge Mall Lewisville TX a few weeks ago to get the battery changed in my Citizen Dive computer watch. Went in armed and don't recall seeing 30.06 posted anywhere. I'll double check next time I'm there.

And they did replace my battery for free even though the watch is >10 yrs old and didn't buy it there. I was extremely pleased as last time it cost me $75 by sending it back to Citizen....

Cool with me, if there is 30.06 I would say have fun defending and keep yourself safe and secure, When JoBlo needs some cash for his "speed" dealer.
You will feel safe when a shotgun shots are flying in your face.

Have a nice blasting day.

does it seem that most shootings and mass shootings , especially those that make national news, are places where firearms are restricted ?

Who ever said that company policies had to be based on facts or logic?

Nobody ever said that. I used to work for Dow chemical, they are anti-gun and liberal to the core. Anytime I had my handgun in my car in their parking lot I took the chance of being fired if I was caught. They have some other goofy liberal policies (pro homosexual {to the extent that homosexuals have more rights than heterosexuals}, anti religion, anti gun etc.), I try not to buy anything made by them since their policies are so contrary to my beliefs.

That was a rhetorical question. :tiphat:

From Wikipedia:
Vietnam war: Napalm and Agent Orange

During the Vietnam War, Dow became the sole supplier of napalm to the United States military who used napalm in their efforts during the war.

Agent Orange, a chemical defoliant containing dioxin, was also manufactured by Dow in New Plymouth, New Zealand and in America for use by the U.S. military during the Vietnam War.
Liberal? Maybe because now it's politically expedient. Just my opinion, but for a company that made millions by supplying weapons of war to turn liberal turns this quote from Disraili (or Churchhill)on it head:
If you are young and not liberal, then you have no heart?
but if you are old and not conservative, then you have no brain
But again, just my opinion...
I knew Dow supplied the napalm in Vietnam as well as agent orange, a company can change a lot in 40 years. Trust me, they are as liberal as San Franciso, if only you could see some of their policies. I think the Bhopal incident and some other things changed their focus. I believe the CEO is liberal and Dow was sure proud to have Warren Buffet giving kudos to the Dems before the last election (this was on their employee only live video from Midland Michigan). Anyway, Dow is a liberal company in how they operate, I saw it first hand.
