Wrong address of DL question

1st - I have looked at several pages of posts and didn't see this question specfically so sorry for the dumb question.
Because of my own stupidity and laziness I have not gotten around to updating my drivers license address. I have a commercial license and cannnot do it online. I know I have to get that corrected prior to filing and plan on doing it on monday. My question is, would it be better to wait to take a CHL class until after I receive my updated license?
If at all possible I would like to take the CHL class this weekend and cannot get to the DMV until monday. It is hard with my work to make any plans too far out, much less an all day scheduled class.

I took the CHL class with my driver's license having the incorrect address because I had just moved. As long as you get your new license with the correct address on it before they start working on your application, you should be good. I think.
It took them a little over a month to get my new driver's license to me by the way. And I did the renewal online.

Hi djmp, welcome to the forum!
Sure you can take the class this weekend, go ahead. BUT....
don't turn in the packet until AFTER you've updated your DL. and received it. That way whatever address is in your packet, it will agree with what's on the DL.
I am assuming that you DID NOT apply online, and are going to get all forms from your instructor.
I'm taking the class this weekend myself. Are you taking it in Arlington?

I actually have a question along these same lines.
What happens if you move while your application is being processed? I am planning on taking my class and sending in my application sometime next month, but I don't know if I am going to be living in this apartment complex five or six months from now.
How big of a problem is this?

i believe there is a section to fill in for a mailing address , which does not have to be your address .
years ago , i used my mothers address , because i was in the process of moving .
